Beanstalk will determine what items are suitable for consignment and which items are not. Items not selected for consignment are referred to as "no thank you's". Beanstalk will notify you when your review has been completed. Items that are not selected for consignment can either be donated by Beanstalk or picked up by the consigner. You must inform Beanstalk when dropping off that you wish to retrieve your items . You are required to pick up your no thank you's within 1 week of your notification.

How should I prepare the items I'm bringing in?

We recommend that you carefully go through each item you plan to consign. All items must be in perfect condition, clean, in season and in style, and must come in ready to sell. Clothing should be brand name only and should be delivered in presentable condition and neatly folded in shopping bags or boxes. All blazers and special event clothing should be delivered on hangers. Equipment, toys and furniture should be clean, in good working order and must meet all current safety requirements

Bins, boxes bags or any other containers that clothing is delivered in will not be returned to consignor.

How should I prepare my Items for drop off?

Label your bag w/name and drop off date and please make sure clothes are neatly folded. We will review the items and enter them into the system in the order they come in. You will receive a detailed item and price list via e-mail, and any "no thank you's" will be donated to charity.

How long will you try to sell my items and how do the markdowns work?

The consignment period last a total of 75 days. Children's, juniors, women's and maternity clothing , toys, and decor are reduced by 25% after 30 days, and by 50% after 60 days. Furniture and equipment are not subject to a markdown. At the end of 60 days, you can retrieve any unsold items. Any items not picked up after 75 days from the original date of consignment become property of The Beanstalk Consignment Company and may be donated or re-sold. Note: It is the consignors responsibility to know there expiration date. This will be on your item report listed as Pick up date.

The important question- How much money will I make and how do I get paid?

While you probably won't get rich through consignment, we hope to put as much money back in your pocket as we can. Remember, it is in our best interest to price items for maximal return. Keep in mind however that we also need to pay close attention to market factors. We don't want your items to go unsold due to unrealistic pricing. Prices are set by Beanstalk staff but we welcome your input.

Consignors receive 40% of the sale price of children's ,juniors, women's, and maternity clothing, toys, books, and 50% of the sale price on furniture and equipment.
The Beanstalk Consignment Company is not responsible for notifying a consignor they have money available to them. Consignors are responsible for inquiring about and collecting there earnings from Beanstalk. Upon request, checks can be mailed for a $1.00 fee. Consignment earnings not retrieved within 12 months of the original date of consignment become null and void.

Thank you for your interest in Beanstalk Consignment. We look forward to working with you!
